Last Updated: August 8, 2026

Welcome to TeaNuma (“TeaNuma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit teanuma.com (the “Site”) or use our membership matching and communication services (the “Services”).

By using our Site or Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Site or Services.

1. Who We Are

TeaNuma is a membership service that matches members with a companion (“TeaNuma Friend”) for private daily conversations. TeaNuma is not a medical, psychiatric, psychological, or licensed therapy service, and this policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Disclaimer.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account and contact information: name or nickname, phone number, email address.
  • Matching questionnaire responses: answers to intake questions used to match you with a TeaNuma Friend.
  • Payment information: billing details processed through our third-party payment processor (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
  • Communications content: messages, voice, or video call metadata related to scheduling and support requests you send us directly (e.g., emails to hello@teanuma.com).
  • Session-related information: topics or notes you voluntarily choose to share with your TeaNuma Friend or with us, including sensitive personal matters (see Section 3, “Sensitive Information”).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, and time spent on the Site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies (including but not limited to the Meta Pixel and Google Ads/Google Analytics tags) to understand Site usage and to measure and improve our advertising campaigns. See Section 6 below.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

  • If you communicate with your TeaNuma Friend via WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Meet, or similar third-party platforms, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the data practices of those third-party platforms.
  • Payment processors may share transaction confirmation data with us (e.g., successful payment, subscription status).

3. Sensitive Information

Because our Services involve private, personal conversations, you may choose to share sensitive details about your mental or emotional wellbeing, relationships, habits, or personal history with your TeaNuma Friend. We encourage you to share only what you are comfortable sharing. We treat any such information you disclose to us directly (as opposed to conversations that occur entirely on third-party platforms like WhatsApp) with heightened confidentiality and do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes.

TeaNuma is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a licensed professional immediately.
