Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: August 8, 2026
At TeaNuma, we want you to feel completely in control of your membership — no pressure, no long-term commitment, and no hidden traps. Here’s exactly how billing, cancellation, and refunds work, explained simply and honestly.

The Short Version
- 💛 You can cancel anytime — with just a few clicks, before your next billing date, and you won’t be charged again.
- 💛 Once a billing period (week or month) has started and been paid for, that payment is final and non-refundable — even if you don’t use all your sessions.
- 💛 This is the same approach used by most subscription services you already know, like Netflix, Spotify, and gym memberships: you’re paying for access to the plan during that period, not for each individual session used.
We know “no refunds” can feel like an unusual thing to read, so we want to explain our thinking honestly below.
1. Cancel Anytime, No Questions Asked
You are always free to cancel your TeaNuma membership at any time — there’s no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee. Simply:
- Cancel from your account settings, or
- Email us at hello@teanuma.com and we’ll take care of it for you.
Once you cancel, you will not be charged for your next billing cycle, and you’re welcome to come back and resubscribe whenever you’d like.
2. Why Payments Already Made Are Non-Refundable
When you subscribe — weekly or monthly — that payment reserves your spot, your match, and your TeaNuma Friend’s time and availability for that entire period, whether you use every session or not. Because of this, once a billing period has been charged:
- We’re unable to offer refunds for that period, even if you decide to stop partway through, skip days, or don’t use all your available talk time.
- Unused days within a period do not carry over or convert into credit.
This mirrors how most subscription-based platforms work — think of it like a Netflix or Spotify subscription: once you’re billed for the month, that charge is final, regardless of how much (or little) you use the service, and you simply choose whether or not to continue into the next cycle.
We think this is the fairest way to keep TeaNuma sustainable and our TeaNuma Friends properly supported, while keeping your commitment to us completely flexible and pressure-free.
3. What This Looks Like in Practice
Example — Weekly Plan: You subscribe on a Monday and are charged for the week. On Thursday, you decide TeaNuma isn’t for you right now. You can cancel immediately so you won’t be charged again next week — but the current week’s payment isn’t refunded, since that week’s access was already reserved for you.
Example — Monthly Plan: You subscribe for the month and use TeaNuma happily for two weeks, then life gets busy and you stop talking for the rest of the month. Your membership simply continues quietly in the background until the month ends. If you cancel before your renewal date, you won’t be charged for the following month — but the current month already paid for is not refunded.
4. Billing Errors and Exceptions
If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after you had already successfully cancelled), please reach out to us at hello@teanuma.com — we’ll happily investigate and make it right. This policy is about standard cancellations, not billing mistakes, and we always want to fix genuine errors on our end.
Where required by local consumer protection law, we will of course honor any refund rights that legally apply to you regardless of this policy.
5. Our Promise to You
We built TeaNuma to feel like the opposite of a rigid, clinical experience — and that includes how we handle your membership. No long contracts, no cancellation runaround, no guilt trips. Just an easy, flexible way to step away whenever you need to, and an equally easy way to come back whenever you’re ready.
If you’re ever unsure about your billing, your plan, or anything else, just email us — we’re happy to help.
